Washington State Roslyn (Home of 'Northern Exposure!'), Whidbey Island, Seattle March, April 2005 I've had the opportunity over the last six months to take several trips to Seattle, and recently made a pilgrimage to the town which was the fictional home of 'Cicely, Alaska', and one of my favorite television shows of all time, Northern Exposure. Roslyn, WA is tucked away about an hour from Seattle, and for a long time the town was a coal mining mecca. Today there are less than a thousand residents in the community, but I'd be willing to bet at least 10,000 people a year visit Roslyn to see the Brick, KBHR Radio, the Roslyn Cafe, and the offices of Dr. Joel Fleischmann...
