- My son and I spent 18
hours in line for World Series tickets, (I had a bad cough for a week), and wound up going
to Games 1, 6 and 7 of the 2001 Fall Classic in Phoenix. I was able to sell a few
extra tickets I bought, and made enough so that we were seeing all 3 games for free!
There's nothing like American Capitalism... Watching the Diamondbacks come from
behind to score the winning run in the 9th was just unreal. We stayed another 90
minutes after the game for all the ceremonies. We nearly fell over our seats jumping
up and down. Now I have some incredible memories I can share with my little hero.

Annual Wish Ball 2002, Phoenix, AZ
 Make-A-Wish raised over $200,000 with their annual Wish Ball - this year's theme was
"Wish Upon A Star". My friend and I had a blast there. Each of
those teddy bears you see above had a key inside it that could have opened a jewelry box
with a $10,000 necklace inside. We weren't lucky :(, but the bears are cute!
Here's a shot of the exotic dessert we had with dinner! And no, the cake on the
left is not a Hostess Ding Dong!

From the same day... 70's night at Wrigley Field... I saw Elvis in a royal
blue Cubs sequined jumpsuit! So THAT's where he's been all this
time...
 This is my friend 'Nasty'
Nestor Aparicio and me (white as a ghost!) at
County Stadium in Milwaukee, just days before it closed for good.
Nestor used to host a nationwide sportsradio talk show on Sporting News Radio.
Now he runs KNST radio in Baltimore.

 More baseball parks! I had 2nd row seats
for this game at the B.O.B. in Phoenix.
 That's me in red :) There were only two girls in my
company's annual basketball tournament in Chicago... the other was captain of her NCAA team at Marquette!
Still, I held my own ok, I even had a couple of steals
and blocked shots!
