Cybergenics 14 day weight loss plan for men and women

This diet worked for me; I lost 15 pounds initially, and another 15 within the next few months (even better than just 'keeping the weight off'!)

Here it is!

Scary to think I once weighed 157 pounds...Anyway, the Cybergenics diet is available at WalMart, Target and other fine stores, for about $35. The diet consisted of 4 meals a day, 200 calories each.  Meals were limited to protein and carbs only.  Protein - boneless skinless chicken or turkey, or tunafish, white fish or egg whites.  Carbs were the leafy (icky) kind...asparagus, broccoli, celery, tomatoes, cauliflower. Potatoes and rice once in a while.  To supplement these, I took vitamins supplied by Cybergenics.  The pills started out at about 6 pills a day, and by day 14, I was taking 14 pills in one day.  If you are into the Slimfast-type chocolate shakes, Cybergenics offers its own version of the shake as a replacement for each meal, a canister of the powdered stuff is about $7. For the first 10 days of the diet, you drink an entire gallon of water.  During the last 4, reduce your water intake to 28 ounces per day.  Exercise for 20-30 minutes, twice a day.  Once right after getting up, and once before bed.  This diet was like hell for me, but it works, and I read enough about it to feel safe doing it.  I've kept a lot more watchful of what I eat since then, laid off sugary sodas for good, and slimmed down another 15 pounds on my own.  I feel great!

Do you believe the claims... The Catabolic Diet

Here's an idea... if you're trying to sell a diet, you probably shouldn't tout the fact that it works "Three times faster than starvation!"  I haven't heard anything about this diet in over a year, I wonder if it's still available!

The basic premise: There are many foods that are considered to be "catabolic".  What that basically means is that it takes more calories for your body to chew and digest the food than there are calories in the food itself.  Theoretically, eating these foods actually removes calories from your body and you lose weight.  Here's an idea of what foods qualify:

Almost all fruits, with the exception of Bananas and certain plums.

Almost all vegetables, definitely all the green and yellow ones.

Boiled potatoes

Certain types of lean white fish

Certain types of shellfish, provided you don't drown them in butter.

Skim Milk.

The rigid form of the diet has you eating 150 calorie meals 3 times a day.  This I cannot handle.  Also, drink lots of water, but NOT during meals.  Water aids digestion and thus reduces catabolism.  Drink it half an hour before or after eating.  In my case, I'm just sticking mainly to these foods and pasta with marinara sauce and vegetables, and of course, my Diet Cokes :), and eating as much of them as I want!  In the morning, I have an orange, strawberries and skim milk for breakfast, and then watch what I eat the rest of the day.  The diet also suggests eating half a grapefruit before bed, but I feel it's not a good idea to eat within 3 hours of bedtime; your body will store most of the energy.
